Strohschein Named a Community Business of the Year
ST. CHARLES — Strohschein Law Group was the recipient of the Fox Valley Entrepreneurship Center’s Community Business of the Year Award.
The Fox Valley Entrepreneurship Center annually selects a business from the community that it feels is making an impact, either through community-stewardship or through the services it provides. According to Mike Algrim, FVEC board member, Strohschein Law Group was nominated because of the way the organization supports people through
difficult discussions and decisions, as well as the way the organization remains active in the community with an entrepreneurial flare.
Some of the ways Strohschein Law Group gives back to those in the community include participating in the DuPage County Adult Protective Services M-Team to help vulnerable adults, serving as the event chairperson for the Fox Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s and educating fellow attorneys, health care professionals and the community about elder law and estate planning. Outside of the office, team members volunteer in their churches, coach local softball teams, and volunteer with local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops. In addition, the Strohschein Team has hosted Moonlight Memory Madness in June to celebrate the Longest Day, raising over $30,000 for Alzheimer’s in the last six years.
Attorney Kaitlin Hargate received the award on behalf of Strohschein Law Group and its owner and principal attorney, Linda Strohschein.
